The Club’s outing to Coldingham Loch took place on Wednesday 26th August. Seven boats set sail in what appeared to be good fishing conditions – pleasantly mild with a moderate easterly wind and some early morning sunny periods. The fishing however proved difficult, perhaps not helped with the afternoon mist rolling in from the east coast.
Only two anglers managed to net some fish. Robbie Bell caught two rainbows, with the heavier weighing in at 6lb 7oz. George Wood netted a nice brownie. Well done to both anglers for their success!
Afterwards the members and guests made their way to our evening meal at The Clubhouse Restaurant in Eyemouth – fish was a popular choice! Thank you to the restaurant staff for their kind hospitality.
