Our first of two visits to Coldingham Loch this year on July 1st proved a bit of challenge. 10 members netted 12 fish, despite favourable overcast conditions and a nice ripple on the water for most of the day. The warm and muggy weather of the previous two days appeared to be taking its toll.
The boat pairing of Davie Birse and Nicky Bell accounted for 50% of the overall catch! Well done to Davie who had 4 fish and took top honours with the heaviest basket. Nicky had the second heaviest basket with 2 fish. For the second outing in succession, Davie was also top rod. John Dow had the third heaviest basket.
After the fishing, we all made our way to The Heathers Restaurant at Eyemouth Golf Club for an enjoyable evening meal.
