In accordance with Club Rules, the Annual River Competition on the Whiteadder is held on the third Thursday in May. This year it was 15 May 2025. Seven members of the Club fished on what was an extremely difficult day!
The River was low and there was a cold north easterly wind for the majority of the day.
Robbie Bell caught one trout measuring 9 1/2″ but was beaten by George Wood who managed to catch one at 11″! (The fish weighing 8ozs & 10 ozs).
As George was fishing under the rules for the Dundas Medal he won that as well as the overall River Competition, winning the Turner Trophy for the second year in succession. Well done George!
Members were thanked for turning out on what is always a very significant day in the history of the Club.
